Books Are the Best ROI in Business
A $20 book can return thousands in value. Most people skip them anyway. Here's how I've used reading as a strategic weapon — and why you should too.

## The Math Nobody Does
A good business book costs $20. It takes 4–6 hours to read. If it gives you one good idea that you actually implement, the ROI is almost incalculable.
Yet most people treat books like homework.
## How I Read for Business
I don't read passively. I read with a purpose.
Before I open a book, I ask: *What's the one question I need this book to answer?*
That focus changes everything. I'm not trying to absorb the whole book. I'm mining it for the answer to my current problem.
## The 3-Note System
When I read, I keep three types of notes:
1. **Ideas to steal** — directly applicable to what I'm building
2. **Questions it raises** — things I need to go figure out
3. **Quotes to remember** — the distilled insight in one sentence
That's it. Three categories. One notebook.
## Writing Books Changed My Business
Writing a book forces you to clarify your thinking in a way that nothing else does. When you have to explain a system to a stranger well enough that they can use it without you, you discover every gap in your own understanding.
I've written three books. Each one made me a better operator.
## Read More. Think Better. Build Faster.
If you're not reading, you're giving your competitors an edge. The best operators I know are voracious readers.
Start with whatever's most relevant to the problem in front of you. Go from there.
